Hi there. My name is Edward.

I'm a maker, a designer, a volunteer, and a self-proclaimed geek. I am constantly trying to be a better designer, creator, and active citizen in my community. I used to organize hands-on programming and show others what it means to be a maker at the Deason Innovation Gym. When I wasn't helping others in the space, I built drones and wholly unnecessary things like a bucket for the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge that held a literal ton of water. I recently finished two degrees at SMU: one in Electrical Engineering as an undergrad and another in Design and Innovation as a grad student. These two degrees mean something to each other, and I'm still on a hunt to find out. Currently I'm a designer at Capital One.

My goal is to smile and see others smile every day. I want to work with people who seek to use their skills and toolboxes to create systematic social improvement. Someday, I want to create solutions that tackle the high cost barrier to healthcare in developing countries. I toot the flute and work on very large puzzles in my spare time. If someone gave me a bowl of snacks that could never be empty, I'd fill it with Gardetto's.
